Thousands of childcare workers will receive $2,000 as a thank you.
Childcare workers may be eligible for the Youth and Early Care Workforce Bonus, announced Utah Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson.
Over 12,000 eligible employees will receive a one-time direct payment of $2,000 each.
During the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act,
Utah received $108million from the federal government, of which $20million remains.
The remaining $20 million will be used to fund the payments.
This program does not require applicants to be Utah residents, just to have worked in a Utah facility.
