Here's how you can get a $750 stimulus; the deadline is fast approaching!

A state-approved tax credit of $250 per child, with up to three children per family, 

Since the state has a maximum eligibility capacity of 300,000 families, 

The governor's office has approximately 130,000 applications available.

Their residents are encouraged to fill out their tax credit application this week to receive up to $750 in tax breaks right away.

Your application process is assisted by United Way

Connecticut residents can apply for the Child Tax Credit through United Way.

For single filers, there is a $100,000 limit, for heads of household, there is 

A maximum of $160,000, and for married couples filing jointly, there is a maximum of $200,000.

Over these thresholds, you can still receive a rebate, but it will be reduced by 10% for every $1,000 you earn over them.

When will payments start to go out?

According to Governor Lamont, the payments will be made as soon as next month, 

With the state receiving between 2,000 and 3,000 applications a day, 

A number that is expected to grow exponentially as the deadline nears.

CT residents who have previously claimed a child 18 or younger in their 2021 taxes are eligible for this child tax credit.

Currently, there is no plan to extend the deadline of the program beyond July 31st.
