When will Social Security benefits be sent in July 2022?

The next round of Social Security checks is scheduled for early July. The Consumer Price Index for 

All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) rose 1.0% in May, and the all-items index increased 8.6%.

Social Security's cost-of-living increase for 2022 will be 5.9%, the biggest in nearly 40 years. 

The increase took effect on Jan. 1 for Social Security beneficiaries and Dec. 30 for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients.

1. Your payment will be distributed on Wednesday, July 13, if your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of the month.

2. Your payment will be distributed on Wednesday, July 20th if your birth date falls between the 11th and 20th.

3. Your payment will be distributed on Wednesday, July 27 if your birth date is between July 21 and 31.

If Social Security doesn't cover your basic living expenses, you may qualify for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). 

SSI pays monthly benefits to adults and children with disabilities (or blindness)

Older with limited income and financial resources, SSI is also available to them. 

On July 1, you will receive both your Social Security and SSI payments if you received Social Security before May 1997.

According to CBS News, the current rate of inflation means beneficiaries will receive

A COLA "closer to 8%" at the end of 2022. An increase of $132.64 per month could be seen 

By beneficiaries in early 2023, bringing the average check to about $1,790.
