The $145 million tax refund plan is expected to refund more than

1.5 million Americans - will you receive a direct deposit?

Over a million Americans would be exempted from property taxes on their personal cars under a proposed bill.

A new bill proposed by West Virginia Governor Jim Justice would save taxpayers $145 million, Justice said.

As a result of a bill called the "Car and All Vehicle Tax Elimination and

Protection of Local Government Act", West Virginians would be refunded their property taxes on cars.

Announcing the proposal Tuesday, Governor Justice said: Today,

I am proposing legislation that will remove the car tax immediately.

By passing the bill, state tax rebates would be granted to citizens

for the county property taxes they owe on their vehicles.

Funds for the rebate would come from the state's General Revenue Fund.

Approximately $145 million will be saved by residents through the rebates, Justice claims.
